Breathing

One of the first things to change when we are under pressure is our breathing and this is the best place to start for those looking to take back control of their body, space and life.

This can be used at the start of a meditation or when you’re relaxing but it should also be used when you feel worried, anxious, frustrated or scared to bring your heart rate down.

To start, straighten your back and then take a big breath in right down to the bottom of your tummy- take 4 counts to breathe in. Hold for 4 counts. Release for 4 counts and hold for 4 counts. Start again and repeat 4 times. Allow your body to go back to normal breathing that you don’t need to think about.
